What is eAccess?

As providers of human services, you can only track the information you have when the clients/consumers are under your care. You lack the visibility of other events in these consumers’ lives, especially the physical health and medical changes in condition.

eAccessTM is a packaged service that gives you insight into physical health encounters to create a more coordinated care plan.

This revolutionary tool offers a unique glimpse into hospital visits, continuity of care documents, and patient history for up to two years.

    Frequently Asked Questions

A Health Information Exchange (HIE) is a way to share your medical information electronically between healthcare providers and others participating in the exchange.

Today, patients may receive medical care from many different healthcare providers, and they may not be part of the same health system. HIEs  provide the various healthcare providers access to patients’ electronic medical information, reducing the need for patients to get and send their medical information to  the different healthcare providers.

When a healthcare provider can use an HIE to obtain medical information electronically, they can do so quickly, reducing the likelihood  of unnecessary services, duplicate services, or delays in treatment. These benefits improve the overall quality of care and make the healthcare system work more effectively.

The following information is available in an HIE:

  • – Emergency Room (ER) admissions and discharges
  • – Hospital admissions and discharges
  • – Reasons/diagnoses for ER and Hospital encounters
  • – Demographics
  • – Allergies
  • – Care team
  • – Encounters
  • – Medications
  • – Problems/diagnoses
  • – Procedures
  • – Lab results
  • – Social history
  • – Vital signs
  • The ProVantaCare partnership with E-System has created a secure portal where authorized members of your team can access the data and reports generated by the system. Your team would receive training during the onboarding process.

This is NOT an electronic health records (HER) or electronic medical records (EMR) system. An EHR/EMR system provides your organizations with tools to collect clinical and other encounter data, which you can then use for developing care plans, encounter data, analytics, management, payroll, and billing.

eAccess absorbs information generated in your EHR/EMR and aligns it with data from the HIE. You can then pair the data from both sources for your analytics and VBP contracting. Additionally, eAccess allows multiple providers to enter a single contract with a payer, to aggregate the data from these various providers, and develop a larger risk pool for VBP.

The platform is secure. HSX is certified HiTrust and E-System adheres to the highest standard of data security. ProVantaCare has developed a verified muti-party business associate agreement process to confidently share data.

There are a number of reasons you should pursue becoming a subscriber:

    1.  Whole Person Care is a reality for the services you provide. Without access to physical health data, you do not see all the aspects of the individuals you support.
    2.  Improving Coordination of Care.
    3.  Better care for the individuals you serve.
    4.  Developing effective VBP programs where you could share in the savings achieved by the physical health providers.
    5.  Developing competitive advantage at a time when new and merged providers are growing in or markets
    6. We have developed links to the specific benefits for different types of providers. Please review the benefits to IDD, Behavioral Health, and LTSS providers. (please link back to those areas of the website)
